- Visit the Ikea Showroom at Alexandria - the model kiddie rooms and the kiddie tents and cooking ranges can keep the busy bodies truly busy... Don't miss the play area in the food court... simple yet innovative and loads of fun for the brats...Tip: Wear comfortable shoes - you will be standing while your LO explores this new world... They also have a play area to keep the kids busy while you shop but that's an option only if your kid will stay there without you - its a 'kids-only' zone...
- The Science Center at Jurong - There wasn't much for me to do here... but the children love it... numerous interactive booths which can be loads of fun for the inquisitive minds... don't miss the light display for CO2 the kids will just crack up...Tip: Seems to be a popular picnic spot for schools so maybe a weekend may be better actually...
- Snow City - Get the package ticket with the Science Center - the uninitiated may not love this but its still worth dressing up in the warm clothes and posing in the snow...Tip: Long pants and long sleeved tops with socks a must for parents and kids...You will have to buy the photos - your camera will not be allowed in...
- Komala's at Tanglin Mall - If your kiddo needs Indian food this is the place to come... you can opt for the local cuisine or Australian or Korean food in the food court while he satiates himself on the Dosais...Don't miss the Coconut Water at the juice center there...Tip: Keep a lot of 1SGD coins handy the car rides with Bob the Builder, Barney, Big Bird and Elmo are a treat...
- The Night Safari - This is awesome - gets pretty dark so you could prepare your kid for it... don't try anything beyond the tram ride... make sure your kiddo is well rested to make the most of it...Plan to dine there...Tip: Buy the park hopper pass with trams for some savings
- The Singapore Zoo - Surely this will be part of your itinerary... Take a buggy or a stroller as there is a lot of walking to do... take the tram first to decide where you want to spend more time... finish with the key animals first as the kids may not make it through the entire zoo... Tip: Don't miss the horse carriage ride... helps rest your aching feet
- Cable Car Ride - this is even better if you go by December 2012 as you will get the Angry Bird ride - complete with the theme music, a stuffed angry bird to ride with, a free drink, loads of photo ops and angry bird food and merchandise... Plan this with the visit to the Under Water World
- Dolphin Show - Get the show timings right and get there a bit earlier to finish the under water world and then catch some good seats...Tip: Keep your camera ready you can get some great shots of the Dolphins in action if you're lucky
- Universal Studios - This is a must for your kiddo, from Sesame Street, to Shrek and the Donkey to Madagascar and the Transformers he'll love it... Must dos are the Crate ride in Madagascar, the Donkey singing in Far Far Away, The Parade on a Weekend, Catch all the shows, The Madagascar cast, the sesame street characters, take loads of pics... Tip: By the two day pass you'll need it... kids below 4 are free so there's some saving there...
- Boat Ride from Merlion Park to Clarke Quay - Go earlier in the day as it can get very sunny, enjoy the Merlion Park and then head to Clarke Quay by boat... A good idea to eat lunch at Clarke Quay and maybe take a bus ride home...
